Okay, so this Friday my oldest child's soccer team is having a team party...a HUGE party!! I need to bring something to the party for around 50ish people...the invite says 'entree AND salad' ... but really, I'm thinking more like finger foods/dips/easy things to eat...that being said...I need some ideas! Anyone got any ideas? I feel like I've used all my ideas so much, I'm tired of them...does that make sense?? Send me your thoughts .... I'm up for anything!!

Hmm... what about some sort of loaded potato skins? They'd be easy to eat and would be a heartier dish. I've got a good recipe if you need one!
I'm thinking these little sandwiches from KellysKornerBlog---I've made them for church stuff and it's kid friendly, man friendly, but still "appears" frufru enough to look like you put some thought into it! They are really good:-)

How about small Vietnamese spring rolls. They are not cooked and can be assembles ahead of time.
I made this last year for a block party and it was a hit :) I think boys would like it!
Frito Corn Salad
2 cans whole kernel corn, drained
1 can rotel tomatoes with green chilies, drained
1 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup mayo
1 cup ranch
1 pkg. Chili-Cheese Fritos
Directions: Mix all ingredients except Fritos and chill. Just before serving, add coarsely crumbled Fritos and mix together.

I once hosted a lunch for 30-40 people. I made 4 focaccia breads the size of cookie sheets (so I probably doubled the recipe everytime). I split it widthwise to make a huge sandwich, really really wasn't as hard as I thought. I then stuffed each with different meats and veggies and then cut then all into individual squares with toothpicks. It did take a while, but it was a huge hit and people loved the focaccia. For a salad I did broccoli salad, with the sweet dressing, bacon, etc. If you want the recipe, let me know, I don't have it on my blog yet. Good luck!

I have a really good taco salad recipe that is ALWAYS a hit! I've brought it to several functions and everyone always raves about it! Good luck brainstorming!
I made these BBQ meatballs for a potluck and they were a huge hit!
And everybody loves rolls with deli meats and cheese.
Oh, gosh, I don't know. I'm not good with coming up with foods for children as I never had my own. Sniff.
Anyway, if I think about what kids like, it's usually mini burgers, or meatball subs, chicken fingers or chicken wings (except I think those are messy with the bones), little tomato & basil pizzas made from those canned crescent rolls (actually those are VERY good, with fresh basil, quite YUMMERS!) I have a recipe if you'd like it. I'll have to dig for it, but I think I know where it is LOL
I saw a beautiful presentation with tortellini salad. It was put on skewers and presented wheel-spoke fashion on a platter.
Another beautiful and unusual idea is stuffing those huge (cooked and cooled) macaroni shells with an antipasto salad.
