This goes great with cheese bread!2 1/2 lbs. lean beef stew meat, cut in 1-inch cubes1 large onion, chopped2 cloves garlic, minced3 carrots, cut in 1-inch slices2 ribs celery, cut in 1/2-inch slices2 medium potatoes, cut in 1-inch cubes1 cup beer1 cup beef broth, or use all beer2 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. pepper1 tsp. oregano2 Tbs. tomato paste3 Tbs. melted butter1/3 cup flourPlace all ingredients, except butter and flour in crock pot; mix well. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours. Mix melted butter with flour; add to the stew. Taste and adjust seasonings, if needed. Turn to high and cook until thickened, about 15-20 minutes.
